Apple-Pecan Crumb Top Pie

1 unbaked pie shell (9 inch deep dish)

Filling:
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ cup chopped pecans
½ tsp. cinnamon
6 cups thinly sliced tart apples
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Toss thoroughly with apples. Heap apples into pie shell. Dot with butter.

Topping:
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup flour, sifted
¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ cup chopped pecans

Combine brown sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon with fork until topping is crumbly. Stir in pecans; spread evenly over pie filling. Bake @ 350º for 40-50 minutes. (Another of Meredith's.)
