Aunt Mary's Curried Fruit Bake

1 29 oz. can Fruits for salad (chunky, not fruit cocktail)
1 Tbsp. curry powder
1 cup black pitted cherries
½ cup maraschino cherries
½ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 bananas
½ cup butter, melted

Cut and drain fruit, except bananas, for several hours. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and curry powder. Peel and cut bananas into salad size pieces (bigger than for cereal.) Mix with other fruit. Add melted butter to fruit and sprinkle with sugar mixture. Mix fruit very lightly. Turn into a buttered casserole. Bake 40 minutes at 350º. Serve hot with baked ham, chicken, etc. Serves 8 - 10.
