Sundae Dessert

36 Oreos
½ cup plus 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
2 oz. unsweetened Baker's Chocolate
1 cup sugar
1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
2 gallons vanilla or coffee ice cream
2 cup whipped cream, sweetened (NOT Cool Whip!)
1 cup chopped nuts (we use pecans) - optional

Put in freezer after adding each of the following layers:
1. Crush cookies; add ½ cup butter. Mix well and press into 9X13 inch pan. Chill.
2. Place ice cream on top of cookies. Freeze this layer until completely frozen.
3. Melt chocolate; stir in remaining butter and sugar; add evaporated milk slowly. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Chill. Let mixture cool. Spread over frozen ice cream. Chill.
4. Top with whipped cream.
5. Sprinkle with nuts.
6. Freeze until ready to serve.
(We end up fighting for the last piece.)
